Braxton and McKinley Photo Shoot

So I downloaded a free 30 day trial to the light room editing so I wanted to try it out and I love it! You'll have to tell me what you think of my pictures!

Lifeguards

Today I am grateful for the lifeguard-why you ask? Well today I went swimming with my kiddos. McKinley was sleeping and Brax was playing in an inflatable boat-USUALLY i don't leave him in the water in it without being close by but today I thought he has been in it twice for long periods of time and had no trouble, well today I went to lay down and catch some rays-I was about to get in when I stopped to talk to Dantzelle taking my eyes off of the water-next thing we know we hear this splash and I look over to find the lifeguard pulling my drowning son out of the water! Holy Cow what was I thinking leaving him in there?! Needless to say he is ok and is still not scared of the water, but I am terrified so I bought him a life jacket! Just a little reminder to everyone to not take your eyes off of your kids for a second! I am very grateful to the lifeguard-I think he deserves some cookies or something what do you think? Not quite equal-cookies for my son's life but hey it's the best I can do without looking like a crazy person.

McKinley Clapping

So just ignore my mommy voice-this is McKinley clapping. She has been clapping like this for a while and she loves pat-a-cake and if you're happy and you know it-well pretty much any song with actions and so does Brax so we have fun!

Last one I promise!!!-Baseball and BBQ

Tuesday we had an office BBQ and Baseball game. The Reston office came up to play us and it was so fun! It sucked cause it was slightly raining the whole time, but we didn't let it stop us from having fun! I loved the pics of my kids-Kinley looks so cute and Brax found a friend named Brayden and they played so good together. Braxton always makes friends with everyone and I bet he's going to have a lot of friends growing up. It was a great day with great food and great company!

Mt. Vernon

On Monday we went to Mt. Vernon which was George Washington's Home. The mansion is amazing and the grounds he was built on are just gorgeous!!! Behind the mansion is the view of the Potomac River it is so pretty. There was a garden area with the prettiest most exotic flowers so we had to get some pics!

Temple

While my mother-in-law was here us girls with kiddos had Dantz and Jess (thanks again) watch our kids and went to the temple! It was so neat and the inside is so beautiful with the stained glass windows. It was great to go and afterwards we treated ourselves to the Cheesecake Factory. Can't beat that!

Swimming and Water Parks

We went to this way fun splash park not to far away and it felt so nice on such a hot day! The kids had a blast and afterwards we played some mini golf. Braxton did better by himself than I did helping him. He is pretty coordinated and picks up sports really quick!

McKayl's Baptism

McKayl Lester was able to be Baptized a couple of Sundays ago and she was so lucky to have both sets of grandparents there including aunts and uncles on both sides. I made these cake pops for the refreshments and they are so yummy!!! It was a neat experience to be able to be there on her special day!
