Motherhood

Do you ever feel like the kids you were given were meant to be with you? That you could never imagine anyone else as your child because they are perfect and fit so well into your life. Lately I've been contemplating on motherhood and what it means to me. Somedays I must admit it is hard to be a stay at home mom. To know that everything you do is for someone else, rarely do you get a moment to be alone or just leave and do something you want to do. But then when I really think about it there is nowhere else I'd rather be. I would miss not seeing every smile, every new thing learned, every moment shared together, the good and the bad. I would miss the hugs, the kisses, the laughter, and those moments that you just sit back and think this is one of the happiest moments of my life I'm so glad I was here to share it. To be a mother means you know true joy and love and true sorrow and pain. Because you can never have that kind of love that comes from loving a child without knowing the pain and sorrow that can come. These two kiddos I have been entrusted to take care of have changed my life forever and I couldn't imagine what my everyday life would be like without them. So here are a few pictures of my "Pure Happiness" moments when nothing in my life seems like it could get any better than sharing this moment with them. Hope you enjoy.

This picture was taken on mother's day. I remember having one of those moments thinking wow this is such a special happy moment that I want to remember. I can't describe my feeling of blissfulness and why this picture makes me feel that way. I just remember being truly happy.

This was also on mother's day. It was seriously a moment out of a movie. I was getting ready for church putting on my makeup and jewelry and Kinley just sat on my bed watching me get ready and when I turned around again she was asleep. Pure Bliss.

Man do I love these two....

4th of July

This 4th of July was spent just relaxing and hanging out! We had an office BBQ where I only got the pictures of Kinley because there was a lot of throwing people in the pool and I thought my camera might get wet! Later that night we went to the fireworks close by and they were pretty awesome! All in all it was really fun!

Ohio

While my mom and Ash were here we went to Columbus Ohio to visit my brother and sister-in-law. We had a lot of fun swimming, eating, and going to Cosi a museum. Us girls went to the Titanic exhibit and that was really neat. Braxton had a blast hanging out with uncle BJ since he played Wii with him and this marble game, it was the highlight of his week! These are their cats Azlan and Ziggy. It was also my brother's birthday in June so we celebrated with ice cream cake and some gag gifts like the huge mustache and Steph got the crazy cat lady ha ha! It was a blast and can't wait to go again in August!

Pray for Preslee

This little girl, Preslee, needs our prayers. She almost drowned in a canal this weekend. She was found 2 miles down the canal where a farmer who just happened to know infant CPR found her and performed CPR. She was lifeflighted to Primary Children's Hospital where she is fighting for her life. Many miracles have happened but she still has a long way to go. Please pray for their family. Both parents are from my hometown and she is actually my sister's niece as my sister is married to the father's brother. This story breaks my heart as I remember talking with her mom since we were due around the same time with our girls. I can't help but be grateful for my family especially that we are all safe. I pray for a miracle.

If you would like to follow their blog for updates here is the address:

or click on the button on my sidebar to donate to their cause. They are in desperate need for help, please do what you can if it is only to pray for their family, they need that too.

Zoo

While my mom and Ash were here we decided to go to the zoo! I was glad to have them as I could have never done it by myself. Taking pictures with 2 kids is hard, if I didn't have someone else I might've lost my kids! Not that I would but you know! I was thankful to not have to worry about it. While we were there they have an aquarium where you can go in these tunnels and watch sharks swim over you. There is also one for the polar bear but we read that they only swim like 10% of their lives or something like that so the possibility of getting one in the water was rare! We went up to look at the Polar bears from the top right as some zoo workers were working on a drill with the polar bear where they threw fish in the water and so I ran downstairs and took some of him in the water! Braxton got a front row seat at the top and loved it! All in all it was a GREAT day!

This is Braxton acting like a gorilla....can you see the similarities :)

We bought Braxton a camera so he could take pics while there. He had fun. In a later post I will post some of his pictures...they are quite hilarious!
